Storyteller and communications strategist. Expert at creating story-led content-centred activities designed to trigger actions, change perceptions or reinforce thought leadership.

Whether for commercial clients, their agencies or media, the way I work is to first agree the intended goals and from that identify the required audiences and the best ways to reach them. The next stage is to plan and design content that while incorporating the required messages and calls to action, is appropriate to the selected media but most importantly, will engage the target audiences by catering for their needs. A range of devices may be be used, whether words—articles, blogs, books, magazines, white papers or whatever; events —such as panels, webcasts, trade shows, conferences; social media—Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Tumblr;  images—photographs, illustrations, diagrams, video, infographics; or interactive applications such as polls, discussion boards, games and quizzes. The central feature of all is storytelling.

Then I recruit and work with other experts to turn all this into a reality, whether a writer, filmmaker or designer or recruiting and managing a complete client-based in-house newsroom.

Publications worked with include The Australian, Banking Technology, The Banker, Business Week, Financial Times, Funkschau, The International Herald Tribune, The Observer, New Scientist, Newsweek, Telephony, The Times, Time, The Wall Street Journal.
